Doctor Consult with BPH patient in Lakeland, FL

Do you have the sensation to urinate but have difficulty fully emptying your bladder?

You might have an enlarged prostate also known as BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). Symptoms include frequency in urination, weak urinary system and decrease in sexual performance.

If you are suffering from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, you should call us today at 863-577-0316 to schedule a consultation.

Do I need to test for BPH?

Early diagnosis for BPH is important because if left untreated, it can lead to urinary tract infections, bladder or kidney damage, bladder stones, and incontinence. Distinguishing BPH from more serious diseases like prostate cancer is important.

What is BPH?

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, or BPH, is a condition in which the prostate enlarges as men get older. Over 70% of men in their 60s have BPH symptoms, so it is very common.

While BPH is a benign condition and unrelated to prostate cancer, it can greatly affect a man’s quality of life. As the prostate enlarges, it presses on and blocks the urethra, causing bothersome urinary symptoms.

Non-Invasive Treatment:

Prostate artery embolization (PAE) is a new treatment that is an ALTERNATIVE to surgery for BPH. The PAE is performed by an interventional radiologist at our Lakeland, FL facility. Learn more about PAE here.
