For Patients
Interventional radiology affords you and your doctor additional options to test for—and treat—disease, pain and other problems that previously required more invasive or less successful methods. With more options available to you, a more personalized approach to your care is possible.
An interventional radiologist is a doctor who has undergone additional subspecialty (fellowship) training to be able to perform minimally invasive procedures. Each of the treatments they offer are highly precise and guided by imaging, such as X-ray or ultrasound. In many cases, they are a less invasive alternative to surgery, and carry less risk, a faster recovery and virtually no scarring. Most procedures are covered by insurance and may be performed in our comfortable and convenient outpatient center.
